Concerned about the environment
The grandparents of the owner and producer, Ronieri Mazetto, arrived in Brazil from Italy in the 1930s and planted coffee with incentives from the Brazilian government. He says that his father had been raised to deforest areas that would be used for planting, and that today, there is an entire project to rebuild native forests near the cropping regions and water sources.
The concern for quality begins with the choice of the location where the plantation will be established, from the selection of seedlings, and with extreme care in management, selective harvesting, post-harvest processing, and storage.
They do not use pesticides in production because they are concerned about the environment, water sources, the health of workers, and the health of the family who currently live on the property. The water from the washer is used for fertilization and irrigation of the plantation, and for the past 9 years, they have been preserving and recovering the springs on the property to increase water production.
