Tres Pontas - MG
Serra Farm
It all started with grandparents Antônio Aureliano Chaves de Mendonça, born in the mountain town of Três Pontas and Vivi Sanches de Mendonça in Itajubá, in the south of Minas Gerais, a region very famous for the beauty of its landscapes and the extensive coffee plantations. Since childhood, Aureliano frequented the farms of his uncles and already showed a great love for the land, although his professional training was electrical and mechanical engineering and, a few years later, he dedicated himself to political activity, always maintained the dream of one day acquiring his own farm, as soon as an opportunity arose in 1967, he did.
The coffee reality was passed down from the grandparents, who took their children to the fields, showed their coffee plants and answered the endless questions with great patience. They knew in detail each crop, each plot of coffee, at the time of harvest, the yards were full of coffee and were the usual vacation, did not exchange a few days at Fazenda da Serra for anywhere else. They said the farm extended their life.
This love for Fazenda da Serra was passed from generation to generation, which contributed so much and contributes to improving more and more the quality of coffee plantations, always attentive to the smallest details, and with enough time to create for granddaughters Renata, Danielle and Priscila some of the best moments of their lives. Today, together, they form a team committed to excellence in the production of a quality coffee, with sustainability, taking care of the forests and springs cultivating, high quality and organic coffees.

It is the biggest coffee producer in the world!
Sul de Minas is the largest Arabica coffee producing region in Brazil. It has altitudes between 850m and 1,250m and average annual temperature between 22 and 24°C. Interestingly, this region is the largest coffee producer in the world! Its high altitude and annual average temperature facilitate the production of full-bodied coffees, with slightly acidic citric flavors and fruity aromas.
