Monte Sinai

Araponga - MG

From generation to generation

Sítio Monte Sinai is located in the rural area of Araponga, Minas Gerais, in the Matas de Minas region, surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and preserved forests. The property is managed by José Mauro Miranda, whose family has passed it down from generation to generation for nearly a century.

Situated at an altitude of 1,100 to 1,400 meters, the coffee production on the farm is entirely selective. The farm produces Catuai 44 coffee, with an annual yield of approximately 400 to 500 bags.

José is fully dedicated to the farm, which provides most of his family’s livelihood:
"I do all the work with great care and love! The climate in our region is also very favorable for producing excellent quality coffee."

Award-Winning Coffee
Sítio Monte Sinai has won several awards, including those from Illy, Emater, BSCA, and the Matas de Minas region. Two years ago, José’s son left college to join him in working full-time on the coffee plantations. Their dedication soon paid off: The farm won 3rd place in the BSCA (Brazil Specialty Coffee Association) competition.
